Collect and Make your own 3D Paper Airplane Model
Want to make your own 3D paper airplane model at little or no cost at all ? Right here, I have discovered a number of free paper airplane model kits where you can download for your own construction.
These models are cheaper alternatives to the metal diecast and plastic airplane model kits. Since these models are made of paper or card materials, you can always reprint for reconstruction again whenever you need with no additional cost. You may also discover that some of these paper airplane model are designed to fly!
Free Star Trek SpaceShip Models
Are you a fan of Star Trek? Here is a free USS Enterprise Spaceship model you can download and construct. As this is a Japanese website, simply click on the 'Pattern' link to download the construction kit and the other link 'Haw to make' should be read 'How to make' if I may help to explain for my friend in Japan.
Free Flyable Modern Military Airplane Models
This is a personal website owned by Mr Suzuki in Japan where you can download the modern fighter airplane model free (in pdf format). Some of the paper airplane model kits available includes the following aircraft type :
- F/A-18 / F/A-22
- MIG-29 / MIG-25
- F-14 / F-15 / F-16

Free Flyable Warbirds Model Kits
This is one place where you can get free WWII Fighter Airplanes (paper airplane model kits). You can find the following models for your own construction and collection :

You can also get some very useful construction tips here. These free flyable 'dime planes' are designed by Phil Koopman Sr to be fitted with US dime to keep the plane from stalling.
This is another site where you can download up to 25 free paper airplane (WWI and WWII) models kits like Corsair, SpitFire, Messerschmit, etc, designed by Corneles A. Huisman. The files are zipped bitmap files. So you need to unzip and print these designs on thick paper or stock cards before you start cutting and gluing the parts together. When you are done, you can hang up in your room or at the entrance of the door as display models or attempt to take-off and land them in style.
Free Kitty Hawk Foam Model Kit
This is a model kit and instruction guide by Roger Storm of NASA Glenn Research Center on how to construct the Wright Brothers Flyer 1903 Flyer Model. What makes this model unique is that it is to be made from Foam board, toothpicks and balsa wood. The model design can be downloaded free and the instructions are very clearly laid out with photographic illustrations.
If you happen to be looking for a group or school project, perhaps this might be a good modelling project to take up.
Airplane Card Models
This is a nice and well-organised webstore that sells a great number of highly precised scaled airplane card models designed by Dr. E. Zarkov. The model scales ranges from 1/200 to 1/32 sizes.
If you love to expand your own creativity, Dr. Zarkov has also engineered a CAD software that can be used for designing the most advanced card models - SurfMaster. This would be a great tool for you to create unlimited number of your own unique airplane card models collection.
